He is a life-long photographer who grew up in the Virginia Beach, VA area. His first camera was a 1954 Voigtländer Vitessa A 2 rangefinder with a hand held Bertram Chronos light meter that his father bought while in post war Germany. He went on to earn his degree at the Art Institute of Pittsburg in photography. From there, he relocated to the NYC Metro area and has been taking photographs all over the United States and Internationally. In 1991, Ken created Shoregrafx, Inc., His company specializes in product, artifact, real estate, architectural, and industrial photography. In 2017 Ken earned his FAA Remote Pilot certificate, adding aerial photography to the mix. In 2021 he added high resolution 360 photography and creates stunning views of interesting places. Ken loves showcasing objects of human ingenuity and the power of nature found in geology. “Creating imagery that feels uplifting, visually beautiful and interesting is incredibly fulfilling to me.”
